The trial will take placeonSaturday 25thof February, 10-12pm in Woodlands playing fields, Belfast. The reason for Woodlands is due to water logged pitches in the South West. Details of the trials and lists of groups will be available onhttp://www.antrimgaagamesdevelopment.ie/under the "development squad news section”. A text will also be sent to the players/parents.
The following players have been listed as core players from the 2011 U16 panel to be automatically brought forward into this year's panel. This was based on certain criteria e.g. attitude, commitment, attendance and ability etc. They arestill must attend the trialto form a team that the other players attending the trial will play against. Players that didn't make the core group are asked to return for trials to ensure a possibility of making the U17 Development squad panel.NB – there are still 15 places to be allocated at the trials on the 25th.
The format of the trials will be in a blitz format with 4 teams. 3 x teams will be made up of players attending the trials and the fourth group will be the "core group” of players. All teams will play against each another and players will be assessed on certain criteria. The games may also be recorded.
